For more than 150 years, these two indigenous grape varieties have produced Italy’s most distinctive wines, known for their uniqueness, their history and their prestige. The parish church, or pieve, of Santa Restituta stands on the property and gives the estate its name. Wine has been made here since the 12th century. Pieve S. Restituta produces three Brunello di Montalcino wines: Brunello di Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino Sugarille and Brunello di Montalcino Rennina.
Rich and expressive, with cherry, strawberry and earth flavors and plenty of flesh to cover the solid structure. Spice and tobacco notes add depth as this plays out on the long finish. Best from 2019 through 2032. Wine Spectator 94 (2012)
